Information Eliciting

For the part of the project that is worth 25% - researching information eliciting techniques, Each member of the gropup has been assigned a method of information eliciting.

The techniques each member is researching is as follows

Peter Fleming: Interviewing
Jason O'Sullivan : Questionnaires
Hugh Desmond: Work Shadowing
Kevin Moynihan: Internet and viewing other online systems

Each of us will be doing in depth research into the method they have been assigned, we will then bring each of our findings and put it into one document and do an evaluation on all the techniques to decied which is the best method for us to use.

  1. The research should include, best technique(s) to carry out your assigned research method, pros and cons of your method, any problems which you might encounter if that technique is used, and sources of your research.

  2. i found this link online http://jorthod.maneyjournals.org/cgi/content/full/30/3/245

this page basically goes through the pros and cons of using questionnaires to elicit information
Seeing as we already have our scope, customers of the store along with a method of distributing the questionnaire...more than likely in-store to the company's management team, i think we can ignore the "Define your research question and study population" and "Decide how the questionnaire will be administered " sections of the page
